Sunday Wrap-Up 11/13

Hey Everyone!!
So I think it is now well established that I am not the most consistent with posting (sorry!!) but I’m trying!! This week has been EXTREMELY busy, with both social and school related things. I have been either at work, school or clinical every day lately, and it’s draining! I laugh at myself when I hear myself complaining because, everyone else in the world works 5 days a week… but when you’re not used to it it’s hard!!
Ok, I digress.
Here’s some of my favorite things that helped me get through this week!!

What I’m Wearing:

Since I’ve been going to clinical so often, my designated “business clothes” have gotten a lot of wear this week!! One thing I have a tough time with when dressing for clinical is shoes. I have weird feet and a lot of shoes cause blisters if I wear them all day. If I could wear Uggs every day, I would. My saving grace this semester has been just simple black Toms. They’re not the most fashionable but they’re black, plain, go with everything, and don’t hurt my feet at all. Winner in my book!! I also have them in a white lacey pattern (that I wore a lot to clinical in the summer), and red, but the blacks have become my go to since they just go with everything!!

What I’m Watching:
So I am pretty sure I am the only human who hasn’t watched this/ been obsessed with this, but I am trying to watch Game of Thrones. So many people love this series, I knew I had to give it a try (plus I thought it would give me some good convo for dates…). I started it a few months ago and got through season one, but had a hard time starting season 2. I enjoy it, don’t get me wrong, but I tend to like shows that are a little “lighter” and don’t require so much concentration as I’m watching, since I usually like to have TV shows playing as I am doing something else, so I find it difficult to set aside hours of time to devote to watching. This past week though I started watching season 2 with my dad (super awkward… prob wont do that again). Idk, I’m gonna get through it.. slowly but surely! I have faith!!

What I’m Listening To:
There’s this new song I heard on Sirius the Highway. It’s called “Own It” by Bailey Bryan. I think its so catchy and I can really relate to the lyrics! Go check it out!

What I’m Doing:
This weekend I was able to take a quick break from schoolwork and I went up to Massachusetts for a “Friendsgiving” one of my college friends hosted!! I was excited for this because 1. I LOVE Thanksgiving food, and I am working Thanksgiving this year! And 2, I rarely get to see my college friends, who all live in Massachusetts, especially since I started school. I try to get up there to visit as much as I can, but I can’t help but feeling sad when events happen that I can’t go to, so I was super pumped I was able to make this one work out. I even got to see one of my close friends who had gotten engaged since the last time I saw her! It was such a fun weekend, it always makes me feel good when I see my college friends, and even though its been months since I’ve seen them, we always pick up right where we left off. That’s how you know you have friends for life!

Well, here’s to another week (and hopefully more posts… lol!)

Sunday Wrap-Up 10/23

Happy Sunday Everyone!
This week was a pretty great one! I felt very productive in general this week and was able to get a lot of work done and errands that needed to get done. Here’s my weekly wrap-up of things I’ve been loving this week!!

What I’m WearingMy favorite fall color this year is definitely cranberry. I have loved this color for a while but I found a pair of cranberry jeans at Ann Taylor Loft this year that I am absolutely loving. I love that I can dress them up or down, I have been wearing them super casually, or with a nicer top and jacket for clinical.

What I’m Watching: 90-day fiancé. Such a new guilty pleasure. I’ve never watched it before but I am watching the current season on-demand. It is so funny! Such an easy show to binge watch. I definitely want to go back and watch previous seasons. My favorite couple is George and Anfisa, I just feel so bad for poor Georgie, but girl knows what she wants, and its $10,000 dollars a month… haha.

What I’m Listening To: This month is a little sad for me on the Taylor Swift front. She usually releases an album every other year in October, but she did not this year. Totally fine, you do you girl and take a break, but I’m feeling a void this month that can only be filled by new Taylor. But old Taylor will have to suffice for now, so I’ve been listening to her old albums and rediscovering some old gems that I almost forgot about! Current faves: Stay Beautiful, All Too Well and The Story of Us.

What I’m Doing: This week was so weird weather-wise. 2 days were literally 80 degrees outside, and now its in the 40s and I had to turn the heat on. The warm days were fun to be able to go out and explore. I walked around with my friend and we even got ice cream cones one day!
I was pretty busy this week with school and work, but was able to relax this weekend and have fun which was nice. My sister had a bunch of her college friends down on Saturday and we went to a couple of vineyards before we went back to her house and literally sang karaoke all night (right up my alley). I won’t go into a lot of details of the night, but let’s just say there was broken wine glasses everywhere (I swear I didn’t break any though… good for me!).
I am so excited for this upcoming week, since it is the week leading up to Halloween!! I still have no
idea what I am going to dress up as but definitely need to figure that out this week!

Hope everyone has a great week!

Sunday Wrap-Up

What I’m Watching:
This is us. Tuesday nights on NBC. I am loving this new fall show (not just because my inner preteen is crazy over Mandy Moore). It is emotional, funny and surprisingly surprising! I find myself excited to tune in (or watch the DVR) of this show every week to put the pieces together of this family’s lives. The show does a good job of jumping back and forth between places and times without being too confusing (and allowing me to watch while I’m studying or cleaning).

What I’m Listening To:
“Setting the World on Fire” – Kenny Chesney and PINK.   Spoiler alert, I’m a huge country music fan. I love country concerts, and listening to the Highway on my Sirius radio. This song has just been putting me in such a good mood lately. It’s always fun when you find a song that when it starts playing you just can’t help but smile. This one does it to me. Literally every time.

What I’m Reading:
I am so into listening to audiobooks in the car. I subscribe to Audible through Amazon and love listening to books when I have long (or short) car rides. Currently I’m listning to “It’s Not Okay: Turing Heartbreak into Happily Never After” by Andi Dorfman. I am such a big Bachelor/ Bachelorette fan. Such a guilty pleasure but I will watch weekly with my mom when it is in season. I love watching the relationships develop and the “drama” that ensues. It’s also hilarious watching with my mom because every time something dramatic happens she says “you know… I think the producers told them to do that” .    Yeah mom, we know.

What I’m Wearing:
October is my favorite month (not only because my birthday is October 8). I love switching over my closet from summer to fall/ winter and breaking out my flannels and sweaters. Recently I have been loving wearing baseball hats. I love the look of leggings, sweatshirt and a baseball hat on casual days where I am just studying or hanging around. I like putting my ponytail through the hat hole (is that what its called??) so I’ve been trying to collect new hats that represent things that are important to me!

What I’m Doing:
I had a midterm this past Wednesday so this weekend I was able to relax. Saturday I had one of my close friend’s new baby’s baptism and then a party at her house. I love hanging out with them and her family and friends are so fun so that was a great time. Her baby is so cute, but it really freaks me out when I think too hard about a close friend, my age, who is married with a baby!! After that party I went to a Mexican restaurant to celebrate one of my grad school friend’s birthday!
Today (Sunday) I went to breakfast with my dad, mom, and sister. Then my sister and I drove around town, went to Ulta, and did “fall things”. We were going to go to the local farm market and go pumpkin/ apple picking but we realized it was Sunday and everyone and their brother would be there so we went to the town marina instead. We had a great time and I love catching up with my sister.
I also got a good insta out of the day, so overall it was a success.

I hope you all have a fabulous week!! I thought of a ton of fun post ideas, I can’t wait to share them with you!!
